Good for entry into GPS use
Copywrite date was 2004. Seems a little outdated in some places. Other than that, it was very helpful and full of useful Websites.

Not for outdoor beginners
This book sends people out in the field with a GPS but without the knowledge of what to do when the batteries die or the electronics fail (it happens!).
